About OLIVIA

With 16 years of industry experience, I’ve seen it all. My beginnings were humble… do you remember 30 Rock’s character, Kenneth the Page? Well, I was the real life version of him, around the same time that show was just spreading its feathers. Imagine the questions. “No, I don’t know Jack McBrayer” became a daily reply… that was, until Jack McBrayer randomly joined my tour.

I start off by mentioning the NBC Page Program, because it is the foundation of who I am as a media professional. The grit, the tenacity, the resourcefulness and the willingness to roll up my sleeves and get dirty — these were skills I brought to the table at the beginning of my tenure, and honed throughout my year of donning navy blues. These skills are my foundation.

I went on to work my way from a Production Assistant on MSNBC Dayside, to helping the #1 Show in Cable News — The Rachel Maddow Show — win its first Emmy! It was after a year of producing graphics for two newly launched MSNBC shows that TRMS brought me on board to successfully restructure the show’s graphics production process. This resulted in my quick promotion to Video Producer, where I learned to edit for air and helped launch side projects like NBC’s collaboration with LA Transit. You know those quick news updates you see in taxis, metro stations and at gas stations? That’s the project!

After 7 years of seeing more of our 30 Rock control room than my own shoebox-sized NYC apartment, I took a leap of faith, lending my hand to a freshly launched skin care company to help get their social media and publicity game off the ground. Several months later, it was back to my hometown of LA, where I found myself leaving the world of hard news behind me, enticed by the glitz and glamour of entertainment and pop-culture. It’s at CBS that I have learned the workings of digital video production, holding titles of Content Producer, Host and Line Producer. Working for The Insider, Entertainment Tonight (ETonline) I produced everything from VOD content, to Facebook and Instagram videos, interviews/field shoots, live red carpets and after shows, streaming specials, a weekly series, and currently ET’s streaming show, The Download.

What am I most proud of you ask? Probably my digital video series, Spilling the Royal Tea, averaging 152K views across O&O, social media and digital partners like AOL, Hulu, Yahoo! and MSN. It gave me a chance to geek out on Britain’s royal family with a weekly deep dive into the topics I pitched and produced beginning around the time when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they were expecting their first child in October 2018, until several months after Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born. Talk about a mouthful! Oh yeah, there was also that viral video I created for ET’s Facebook First initiative, an initiative I managed and produced. Said video was about Paul Rudd aging in reverse, which to date has garnered 4.6M views. That’s one way to say I Love You, Man!

When I’m not working, you’ll most likely find me doing something outdoors, or following my taste buds to a new winery or brewery. My boyfriend, pit bull-mix and now our 10-month-old son love to embrace our adventurous sides — exploring new hikes, enjoying the beach or checking another National Park off our list. A little-known gem for the LA peeps — check out Channel Islands National Park. Catalina Island, while also wonderful, actually doesn’t count.
